Painting Coffee Berries

When they come to Wayanad, I had promised, to take the children to my garden, where coffee berries were ripening as the winter was fading to February. But they came late and by the time I was free to attend to them, it was dusk already. So, the kids, who were enthusiastic to visit MP uncle's garden, had to sip their milk-coffees in silence, for the bitterness of misssing a trip to the garden had had stuck to their memories like chicory on a coffee lover's palate! They were uneasy and quite unpleasant about the visit as they bid goodbye after dinner, until I promised to send them pictures of the ripe little coffee cherries of Vythiri.

Thus I managed to receive some hurried hugs, late little kisses and some sweet goodbyes from my little friends.
